IGNOU CCH admission process will start soon for the January 2026 academic session 2026. Students who are GNM/ BSc Nursing/ PB BSc Nursing/ Ayurveda graduates can apply for this short-term certificate course. Total Programme fee is Rs. 15,000. Admission to this programme is only open for those candidates who are sponsored by respective state governments. The starting date is expected to be December 15, 2025* for admissions. CCH programme is approved by UGC and is developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Candidates can apply through official website.

IGNOU CCH Certificate Programme Details 

IGNOU offers Certificate in Community Health (CCH) programme in collaboration with Ministry of Health Education and Family Welfare, Government of India. This short term course aims at improving skills, knowledge and competencies of Ayurveda Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and RNRM so that they can serve as competent human resource professionals. It is essential for strengthening primary health care services at peripheral level. Its curriculum is designed by Nursing experts, medical experts, educationalist, and social scientists from related fields. 

CCH course is instructed in English medium and has assigned 18 credits, which includes 8 credits for theory courses and 10 credits for practical courses. 

IGNOU CCH Admission 2026-27

IGNOU CCH admission will begin soon for the January 2026 academic session. Those who fulfills its eligibility conditions can apply through authorized website of IGNOU by filling an application/registration form. An application fee will be implemented by university which is obligatory to pay for everyone. The starting date to apply for admission is expected to be 15 December 2025*. Programme will be delivered through ODL mode. There is no other website from where students can apply. 

IGNOU CCH Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

If candidates want to apply for CCH programme, then it is necessary to clear eligibility requirements of university otherwise your application form will be rejected. Interested candidates must be graduates in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)/ BSc Nursing/Ayurveda/PB BSc Nursing with BAMS Qualification. They must also have DEB ID as it is required if any student is applying in OL or ODL programmes. Without it, they can not proceed further in their application form. DEB ID can be created from UGC DEB official portal.

CCH Programme offered by IGNOU has a minimal and low-cost fee structure in comparison to other universities. Total Programme fee is Rs. 15,000, excluding development and registration charges. • Step 1: Visit the official admission portal of IGNOU, www.ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/.
• Step 2: Create an account under ‘new user registration’ and save credentials for subsequent login.
• Step 3: Again login to admission portal with saved credentials. Now access the application form by selecting interested course.
• Step 4: Start filling the application form with all required details, including personal details and academic details
• Step 5: Upload relevant documents in PDF or JPG format and pay applicable fees. Documents should be scanned from originals only.
• Step 6: Check registered mail for application submission confirmation. Once the University verifies all details and documents, they will send you an admission confirmation mail.

IGNOU CCH Programme Scholarship

All those who have applied in IGNOU for admission in CCH programme are eligible for Government of India Scholarship. They have to visit the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and submit their application online. Students who have received their admission confirmation from IGNOU are eligible to apply.
