IGNOU BCom admission process will start soon for the January Session 2026. BCom is an undergraduate course with of 3 years. Interested students can apply by filling an application form through official website. All students need to pass 10+2 to be eligible for admission. Total programme fee of three years is Rs. 14,400. IGNOU offers admission in two academic cycles: January and July. IGNOU BCom admission will start soon for the January session 2026. Those who are fulfilling eligibility criteria can apply online by going to the official website. Every student is required to pay an application fee which can not be neglected. BCom programme has an affordable fee. The tentative date of starting of admission is 15 December 2025*. 

Eligibility Criteria For IGNOU BCom Admission 2026-27

IGNOU has some eligibility guidelines which need to be followed by every student who has interest in taking admission here. To be eligible, every student must have passed 10th and 12th standard or its equivalent from any recognised board of Education. They also need to have a DEB ID at the time of filling the admission form. Students can create one before applying  if they do not have it currently.

IGNOU BCom Admission Fee Structure 2026-27

IGNOU has an affordable and low fee structure for its BCom programme in comparison to other Universities and Institutions. Its fee structure includes three components: application fee, development fee and programme fee. Total fees for three years is Rs. 14,400, plus application fee and development fee. Students must know application fee is one time and non refundable. Reserved Category students get relaxation in application fee as they need to pay only Rs. 150 whereas General students need to pay Rs. 300.

IGNOU BCom admission process will start soon for the January 2026-27 academic year. Before applying for admission, you have to follow these steps, which are given below:

• Step 1: Students can directly apply by clicking here, www.ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in or they can visit the official website for the same.
• Step 2: If students are applying through the official website, check for the ‘admission section’ and then click on ‘Apply for ODL Programmes’.
• Step 3: Once admission portal opens, click on New Registration. Create an account by filling a registration form with basic details. (Fill with your personal Email Id & Phone number).
• Step 4: After successfully registering, an Username and password will be created as credentials. Use that to re-login as registered user. 
• Step 5: Access and fill application form with all personal details like your Name, residential address, Phone Number, etc.
• Step 6: Now fill your education details (10th, 12th, Graduation, and so on)
• Step 7: In next step, select the course you’re interested in, upload all required documents as proof.
• Step 8: Preview your application one last time to check for corrections.
• Step 9: Pay programme and registration fee. Submit Application form at last.
• Step 10: Then, University will verify your details and documents. Once everything is verified, you will receive an admission confirmation mail. Check website regularly for admission related updates and notifications.

Documents Required For IGNOU BCom Admission

Students must remember that they have to scan their documents only from the original documents.

• Proof of Identity (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned copy of relevant Academic Qualification (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned Photograph of applicant (less than 100 KB)
• Experience Certificate (if applicable) (less than 200 KB)

IGNOU BCom Programme Career Scope & Salary 

There is a wide range of career opportunities that are offered to students who have completed their degree in the BCom programme. Students are offered various job profiles such as Accountant, Financial Analyst, Banker, Tax Consultant, Digital Marketer, Human Resource Manager, and so on. Students can also prepare for a Chartered Accountant or further education in an MBA.  Average Salary range that is offered to students falls between INR 3.5 lpa to INR 4 lpa. 

IGNOU BCom Admission Cancellation Policy 2026

If any student wants to withdraw or cancel their admission then it is not an issue to worry about. IGNOU offers an admission cancellation policy with a few conditions. First of all, the application fee is non refundable. Students who cancel their admission before its confirmation, then they get a complete refund of programme and development fee. Students who withdraw after confirmation of admission then they will get a refund after deduction of 20% in programme fee. Those students who withdraw admission after closing date, then they are not subject to any kind of refund. If a student who has got scholarship withdraws admission, then only development fee will be refunded to them.
